Resume: A hardened meercenary’s mission becomes a soul-searching race to survive when he’s sent into Bangladesh to rescue a drug lord’s kidnapped son.
I saw this movie announced on Netflix since the first day they performed it the 24th of April but I waited until two weeks ago when I decided watch it to have an opinion about it, in fact, it has a really good critics so I wanted to see it for myself. Also, I have to recognize that I love how Chris Hemsworth acts in movies, so that was a plus to watch it either and know that the movie going to be very good.
The first thing to called my attention was the fight scenes where like the ones you can find in a videogame, even the shoot moments. It was amazing how they create all of this captions in one and turn it in something so attractive, at least, to my eyes, everyone has a different opinion and interests about movies. The whole movie is movement all the time, running, go fast, action 100%, non stop. If someone is a very good fan of action movies, this could be yours, definitely!
Another thing I loved about the movie was the raw believing in leave someone dying if it’s necessary to safe yourself or how someone is able to kill to get some money and save the ass. It’s curious how the movie shows how the mercenary world goes, like something cold, do the job and get the money, thousands of millions to save the drug lord’s kid. After all, the emotions are not counted in this kind of job and I think they showed it really good in the whole movie. I really liked also the determination of the character to save the kid whatever happen and at any cost, even the both story are very interesting to hear.
«Extraction» showed me also to see myself in that kidnapped kid who is no longer happy with the life he has even having all he wants because he feels like he’s living in a prison, always treated as an object, with lots of rules implanted for a drug dealer dad who’s in prison but continues to doing that job in distance. How his feelings don’t really matter because what’s important is what his father wants from him, how his dreams are nothing at all, just bullshit in a kid mind. I was in that position once and I understood that point of sadness he experienced in that moment, that feeling of care so little to can’t make your own decisions and be dependent from others.
Action movie. Explosions. Fight scenes. And a surprising ending. That’s what I asure you if you watch it. I leave you here the trailer and you decide for yourself (english subtitled spanish):

Sinopsis: La misión de un mercenario se convierte en una razón de búsqueda del alma para sobrevivir cuando es enviado a Bangladesh para rescatar al hijo secuestrado de un narcotraficante.
Vi esta película anunciada en Netflix desde el primer día que la sacaron el 24 de abril, pero esperé hasta hace dos semanas cuando decidí verla para tener una opinión al respecto, de hecho, tiene una muy buena crítica así que quería juzgarlo por mí misma. Además, tengo que reconocer que me encanta cómo actúa Chris Hemsworth en las películas, así que, eso fue un plus para verla y saber que la película iba a ser muy buena.
Lo primero que me llamó la atención fueron las escenas de lucha que también puedes encontrar en un videojuego, incluso en los momentos de disparos. Fue increíble cómo crean todos estos instantes en uno y lo convierten en algo tan atractivo, al menos, a mis ojos, cada uno tiene una opinión diferente e intereses sobre películas. Toda la película es movimiento, correr, rapidez constante, acción 100%, sin parar. Si alguien es un muy buen fan de las películas de acción, ¡esta podría ser la tuya, definitivamente!
Otra cosa que me encantó de la película fue la cruda creencia en dejar morir a alguien si es necesario para salvarte a ti mismo o cómo alguien es capaz de matar para conseguir algo de dinero y salvar el culo. Es curioso cómo la película muestra cómo el mundo de los mercenarios va, como algo frío, hacer el trabajo y conseguir el dinero, miles de millones para salvar al hijo de un narcotraficante. Después de todo, las emociones no se cuentan en este tipo de trabajo y creo que lo mostraron muy bien en toda la película. Me gustó mucho también la determinación del personaje para salvar al niño pase lo que pase y a cualquier precio, incluso la historia de ambos es muy interesantes de escuchar.
«Extraction» me mostró también una parte de mí misma en ese niño secuestrado que ya no está feliz con la vida que tiene incluso teniendo todo lo que quiere porque siente que está viviendo en una prisión, siempre tratado como un objeto, con un montón de reglas implantadas por un padre traficante de drogas que está en prisión, pero continúa haciendo ese trabajo a distancia. Cómo sus sentimientos no importan realmente porque lo importante es lo que su padre quiere de él, cómo sus sueños no son nada en absoluto, interpretados como tonterías en la mente de un niño. Una vez estuve en esa posición y entendí ese punto de tristeza que experimentó en ese momento, ese sentimiento de importar tan poco para no poder tomar tus propias decisiones y ser dependiente de los demás.
Película de acción. Explosiones. Escenas de lucha. Y un final sorprendente. Eso es lo que te aseguro si te decides a verla. He dejado en la versión en inglés un poco más arriba el trailer de la película, está en inglés subtitulada a español. ¡Espero que os guste!
